@paddyposh You're welcome, tbh I really don't know, I've been fortunate enough not to have to go to court so not sure what you can and cannot say, ultimately if there is opportunity and you've delivered you other key elements, it cannot hurt, but not sure of the clout it would have.

Something along the lines of "It has come to my attention that Spring Parking did not have a legal basis under the DPA to share my personal details with DCB legal to pursue collection" - but I am not an expert in court matters....

Just repeating the main bit so it sinks in  properly with me and so I can find this list of firms again later:

The firms that don’t appear to have the relevant ‘recipients’ or ‘categories of recipients’ that cover them are;

You will read that most of these companies have the legal basis of ‘Legitimate interest’ to collect your data – the easiest for PPCs to use, but any sharing of data must be transparent, i.e. within their quoted privacy policy link, location or website on any PCN – it must include the ‘Recipients’ or ‘Categories of Recipients’ that will receive said data that included third parties working on behalf of PPC, or their sub-contractors.

If you do trawl through BPA members at any point please add them here, and any updates.  This is a useful thread that could have some real longevity.

Even after the Government regulates the industry we could use this thread to drop bombs on those who still fail to comply, by reporting all issues, again and again, to the Scrutiny Board or whatever equivalent the Labour Government might put in place to oversee compliance.

Ha, I couldn't resist... it's disappointingly a long list!

All need validation, so please don't hold me to these...but here we go....of those that I was able to review (~79), 9 don't have a complaints policy published on their website....I was lenient and followed the links from BPAs AOS lost and frankly that's bloody awful, with a lot of dead and wrong links. Some of the Complaints policies are hard to find also, along with Privacy policies or hidden in each.

A shocking 30 out of the 79 didn't have the correct 'with whom we share you data' sections, or just had ancient PP's from 2018 about web cookies etc. A further 3 I felt didn't have adequate wording...and a further 2 had non-working websites so you couldn't even access that info.
