Lidl New returns Policy? Is this legal?

@LindsayT - thanks.
I went to lidl.co.uk but didn't notice Refund Policy at the foot of the page.
Instead I clicked on Customer Care at the top of the page, then > Shopping at Lidl under the sub-heading Help Topics, then > What is Lidl's Refund Policy?
It's very annoying when websites have (apparently) contradictory pages or when a particular policy is published on more than one page, but not all pages are amended when the policy is updated. I don't understnd how that can be allowed to happen.0 -

I followed your directions and found the policy you referred to. But when I had originally looked before you posted, I didn't notice it at the foot of the page. So I searched and found a different returns policy which is the one I first linked to.
It seems extremely confusing and bad practice for Lidl to have two significanty differently worded reurns policies on their website.
That shouldn't happen, surely?1 -
Tried to return lawnmower. 11 mths old used 6 times and still looks like new but wont switch on and Lidl lies about their useless 3 year warranty.
Told by store 28 days to return to them and gave me customer service no who they said would give me a code to return to get my money back.
Helpline was a recorded message who
Referred me to Parkside (lidl lawnmower brand) to whatsapp a report.
Told on WhatsApp long winded slow useless live chat I would have needed to return to store within 6O days for a refund code to work.
They then gave me a third referral to Varo (who owns Parkgate) who I had to email and send photos to.
I then got an email from a 4th company Tool Tech Ltd who said they would answer my query in a fortnight. If they didn't I should go back to Lidl & Parkgate.
I think it must be a tax evasion by Lidl or Parkgate to imply its 4 separate companies and send you round the houses.
I will now tell everyone I meet about Lidl and their fake 3 yr policy of a warranty that misleads and contradicts itself.
I will persist with it and update with outcome.

I will persist with it and update with outcome. It's not fake nor is it tax evasion. (Not a good claim to make about a company online either.)Warranty is with the manufacturer, consumers rights are against the retailer - ir Lidl.PS - You should really start your own thread.6 -

Multiple companies is pretty normal with retailers, suppliers, insurers, manufacturers, etc. But short of offshore companies, it doesn't make a difference how many are involved, they each make a certain amount of profit and pay tax on that.0
