Another ParcelHero Overcharge Scam

In October 2024 I used ParcelHero to find me some options for returning a large parcel, I measured it, weighed it, etc, entered all the info on ParcelHero's site, and they found the best price was £10.03 through Parcelforce. I dropped off the parcel at the post office, and it was delivered successfully.
In December, I received an email from ParcelHero titled "Adjustment Invoice", with a Large parcel surcharge of £72. This would bring the cost ofd thge parcel from £10.03 to £82.03, which is an increase of 827%
!!!
I've been back and forth with their Adjustments Team over email, but they are not budging, they say I can appeal but I would need to provide them with pictures with proof of dimensions.
I've been in touch with my credit card company, and they say that the charge was entered as a subscription, to allow them to make additional charges without my knowledge or consent. Is this legal?

Ignore. Burden of proof is on them and they won't have it.
If they have already charged you speak to bank about a chargeback.
If they haven't ask the bank for the subscription to be cancelled (if that's possible).

The courier does not present evidence that its adjustment is correct but will acknowledge an error where a customer’s appeal is supported with appropriate evidence
So they stand no chance of taking customers to court as they have no proof. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1
