Good morning, it's a dry, frosty start this morning.
Going out this morning to meet someone that I used to work with, we'll meet at one of the coffee shops here, so can just walk there.
Not much else going on today except the usual household stuff.
Hope our coughers and sneezers are feeling better. Thoughts to those who are sad and lonely.
Keep warm and safe today folks, take care.

Morning allIcy out there this morning.Nothing going on here today apart from having a cut and colour from my hairdresser. Think the heating will have to go on a bit earlier as it's going to be a bit cold sitting around with wet hair. Oh well the energy company can buy a new Rolls Royce to celebrateHope everyone has a good day and keep warm x14

Morning everyone. Thanks for the start @Scarlet. Enjoy meeting your friend. For the first time in about seven years I drove through snowy roads and even got stuck on a hill. Despite my little corner of the country hardly ever getting any there was loads in town. The person I was visiting lives on the outskirts of it with ungrittted streets. Luckily I got stuck almost outside her door and by the time we had finished a combination of the gritters going through and the bright sunshine let me reverse down the hill and away. 😀Today my cleaner is coming so I'll do a quick whizz round putting away stuff. The temperature is -1° with a promised high of 2° so I need to empty ash from the woodburner too. Mind you, the terrible wildfires in Los Angeles show the horrors of lots of heat and not enough water. The grass isn't always greener.Hugs to all those who could use one. Stay warm and safe. No dashing in the snow!12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. If we didn't have enough frozen snow already we had another downpour of the bl**dy stuff yesterday to top it even higher. So my sloping steps are now covered again and there is no way I would risk crashing down them. And there will be no thaw going on any time soon as we have minus 11 forecast for tonight. The novelty of being snowed in is wearing thin now.
Oh well, moan over. There is nothing I need and I won't starve as freezer and cupboards are well stocked. DD texted to say DGDs' school is shut yet again and fully expects tomorrow to be the same. She has two night shifts, tonight and tomorrow, at the hospice and is already worried about getting there. She is usually a confident driver but not so in these conditions. None of the side roads up here have been touched and even the main road down has only had the bare minimum, which means even the bus can't get up here and is turning round half way down the hill.
Some jobs to do if I cba and stuff to watch on catch up will be the highlight of my day! Then I think about those poor people flooded in other parts of the country and now the raging fires in LA and tell myself I have nothing to worry about in comparison. Have a good day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poodlies, sad or lonely. Take care all and stay safe xx

Yesterday started off with a lovely sunny but cold walk along the canal, by the time I got home it was snowing again. It was short lived but left just enough on the ground to be a hazard.Off to a nearby town to meet an ex colleague for coffee this morning, will be taking it very steady and hoping the road has been gritted; it’ll have had plenty of traffic by the time I go out in two hours.Take care all those with more snow and ice. Stay safe and warm.

Morning all
Very sharp frost here this morning I have put the heating back on for an hour or so it was a real struggle to get out of my warm bed this morning, I am off to collect Rob this morning and take him to work we will probably be doing some baking which he loves.
I need to pop into the shop on the way home and get some bits for this week I will get something quick for dinner there, I am going through a not sleeping phase again and feel constantly shattered so a quick easy dinner sounds good.
There is a small chance we will get some snow tonight and into tomorrow which would be nice, but I do understand the frustration of people who have had it for days.
Take care anyone who needs to go out xx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning everyone
Cold and frosty here. I'm not at work today so I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa and then I'm going to pop into town just for an hour or so. This afternoon I'll pick little one up from school as DD is having her hair cut and coloured, then I'll have tea there.
Little one rang me while DD was making the tea yesterday - she'd had a great time at school and her new teacher is 'really quite lovely' - so that was good news.
I built my new table and chairs last night - very easily! I'm really pleased with them.
DD had put my old ones on a sales page for me, free to collect, and a lady came for them last night - she was delighted with them.
Right best get on. Hope everyone has a good day - take care if you have to go out x13 -

Good morning all
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
Another frosty morning but we've escaped the snow.
Should be going on the walk tomorrow, not sure if it will be cancelled.
Think I'll make some soup. Plenty in the freezer and cupboards so won't be going out.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -
Morning all, more snow last night here and now all frozen again. Will the bins be emptied today? We'll see, the lids were frozen shut so got those open. Poor pooch skidded on her dodgy back legs when we crossed the road back to the house. On the other hand, DH got a clean bill from his consultant and physio yesterday, and a promise to see how his bad knee is in 6 months.I've got some fish pie out for me, and DH & DS can have breaded fish and chips. Not looking forward to going up that path for DGS laterTake care everyone

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons 😊
Late to bed last night as DH and I went back to our old town - me for a WI committee and DH to see his pub mates. I picked him up and stayed for a soft drink then dropped BIL back home. SIL supposedly coming home today after putting on 1kg. Still not sure what plans are in place for her long term health.I have a quiet day today - some photos to sort for a photobook for DS2’s birthday later this month plus some cutting out of fabric for a WI project. I’ve also been tasked with a couple of committee items from last night. Dinner is lamb curry which DH will make.Sorry to hear the snow is affecting those further north. Do take care and don’t go out unless you really have to x
Have a good day all
