Missed payment by 3 days, paid as soon as notified... late payment on credit check?

in Credit cards
I have 2 Natwest credit cards, and I erroneously removed the direct debit from my bank for one of the cards. I had a payment due on 4 Jan... today I received an email and text about a late payment and them letting me know the late payment fee has been waived, but encouraging me to make a payment. I immediately did using Open Banking and the payment has since been received from NatWest - however I'm now concerned about having a late payment on my credit report. Never had one in 15 years so would be quite annoyed having a mark on my credit report for this. Do you know in these cases if they mark a missed payment and if so - anything I can try and do to solve this? (aside from re-setting up my Direct Debit which I have already done...)
Thank you!
Thank you!

One marker is no big deal.0

If they choose to add a late payment marker (and they may not) it will be a true statement. You were late paying. So there is nothing to be solved. But as Hoenir stated, 1 missed payment alone is not a big deal and not worth fretting over.0

It will all depend on the exact date of the month that Nat West report to the CRA's.
You may well be lucky not to get one at all.0 -
It's a blip. Chances are it may never make it to your credit history as you responded quickly.
Credit reports work on a traffic light system. So no missed payments, no concerns and everything is green light. A blip like yours, if it gets to your credit report at all, may be a yellow light. But next month and for the next 15 years it will be all green again so no worries.
It's only if you continued to be late or missed payments completely there would be some more yellows and then things would start showing red. But even those would be redeemable if action was taken. Things would go back to green and no worries.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. In any case, don't forget to let us know what happens after next month!0
