Good afternoon, bit of an odd one.
I have an unemployment / Income protection policy that in order to pay out requires me to claim / be in receipt of benefit.
On reflection I am not sure I would be now eligible to claim on the protection policy ? I had no intention of claiming for benefits hence the policy but I am woried I may be wasting my money.
Current Situation
1. Full time job earning ok (High tax rate) - Policy to partially replace this income.
2. 2 x BTL Earning c£20,000 Per annum
3. C £30,000 in savings
4. A LTD Company in my name making c£25,000 profit per annum.
5. Joint mortgage (Partner earns substantially more than me (Not married).
Am I missing something but there is no chance of of claiming any benefit and consequentially claiming on the policy ?
The policy is £85 a month so not a small amount of money on the off chance !.

Job seekers for the first 6 months if you lose your job. Non-means tested. I had to apply for my policy to kick in.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1
