Self assessment and higher rate child benefit repayment

Hello - I have to submit a self assessment by the end of January this year.
If my adjusted net income is above £50,000 for the 23/24 tax year I will need to pay some of my child benefit.
I have read that I can adjust my net income for charity donations with gift aid, life insurance payments and trade union payments.
I have worked out where I can log the charity donations on the self assessment, but I cannot work out where I would log the life insurance or trade union payments.
Also - do I need to provide proof of these payments on submission or is it only if HMRC contact me afterwards? And if so what kind of proof would they need?
Thank you for any help with this!
