TSB credit card application rejected but no hard or soft search recorded

I hold a TSB account, in Nov I decided to apply for their credit card, I applied via the mobile app. However my application was rejected and I got a standard rejection email.
I noticed TSB didn't conduct a soft or hard search, as I can't see any traces on my credit file. I use checkmyfile to monitor all the three credit bureau. Has this happened to any one else, I find it bizarre that they rejected me without a credit search.

Probably failed their internal scoring before they even went to a search. Do you already have a relationship with them ?

Yes, I have a mortgage and a current account, which I use for handful of transactions. Not sure why they still allowed me to continue the application and submit it, if I had failed their internal scoring

Can take up to 3 months for records to be updated so check again end of February and if nothing there then, consider yourself lucky.0
