Hotpoint Freezer Fault

Hi I am looking for some advice. My 15 month old freezer sounds like a washing machine on spin. While it was in warranty I contacted (Hotpoint) the manufacturer/supplier/servicing dept and the engineer failed to fix it. I contacted them again and the second engineer gave me defrosting advice and didn't attempt to fix the problem. Now the freezer is out of warranty and Hotpoint will only act if I buy an extended warranty, despite quoting the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Plus they will only replace the product if there have been 3 "mechanical" services, which I only have 1. What can I do now?

Your consumer rights are wtih the retailer you bought it from, not the manufacturer (unless you purchased it directly from the manufacturer of course) - contact them.0

Unless you bought the freezer direct from Hotpoint, you have no consumer rights with them. All consumer rights lie solely with the retailer.0

Did you defrost it?
Is it kept in a cold or humid place?0 -
I defrosted it for 4 days. The fan at the rear was grinding on the ice build up that I can’t see but have to believe is there. It is an integrated freezer kept in the kitchen which is not particularly humid.I bought it online through the Whirlpool/Hotpoint VIP club so I have no choice but to go through hotpoint.0

It might be branded Hotpoint but that doesn't mean it makes Hotpoint the actual retailer. What was the actual website?0

The actual website is the Whirlpool VIP club0
