I notice now some say vegan & some says vegetarian too, I wonder what the difference is ….Vegan means, or should do, there is nothing animal related in the product, this includes dairy, eggs, honey [bees food, not human]Vegetarian is more relaxed, can include eggs, cheese etc, and some vegetarians even include shell fishI'm not sure if there is a legal definition, so best be guided by any certification on packing
Years ago a well-meaning events administrator informed me that some vegetarians eat chicken. I didn't have the time or energy to argue with ignorance. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I bought some Asda mince pies for 40p today, which aren't due to expire for another 3 weeks.
I tried one and it was a whopper (much deeper than I expected) - and 337 kcal to prove it! Also the pastry was a lovely orange flavour. A big treat for 10p a dose.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

If anyone is passing the ALDI Supermarket, everything "christmas" was reduced to 29p today. Mince pies, christmas puddings, boxed chocolates etc etc.3

This irks me immensely - vegetarians do not eat fish, although pescatarians do.
Years ago a well-meaning events administrator informed me that some vegetarians eat chicken. I didn't have the time or energy to argue with ignorance.Reminds me of an old story told by Jasper Carrott (for those old enough to remember him!).Apparently he was doing a gig entertaining the troops at an army camp, they had some Jewish soldiers training with them for a period. They went down to breakfast and the Jewish contingent complained that they couldn't eat most of what was on offer as they couldn't eat pork. The Sergeant Major bellowed out "There ain't no pork. There's sausages, bacon, fried Spam, ham, but no bloody pork".

I nipped into M&S yesterday and found these for £2.88 (can't recall what the original price was):
I didn't buy as although the "bites" of cheese were large and there was a good amount of cheese overall, once open it really is designed for sharing and not hoovering up by an individual in a short space of time. If it had been the same weight of cheese in a single block I wouldn't have thought twice. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

With the cheese cubes you could freeze them individually and then use them when making sauce or add to pasta an soups. The white cheese with the cranberry is something I would try in a soup.2

I saw a box of Fox's Biscuits in my local Co-op. £3! And They're massive if you're lucky!1

Today found one seasonal jar of chutney just lurking in Aldi, all alone! Got the price: 29 pence so it went home with me! (In date until 2026 too!)
There were pretty much nothing else except the odd Christmas apron......Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
