                    Hi
I've had to switch from ESA to Universal Credit. It seems that I'll receive a lot less on UC looking at flat rates
I think I was in some support group on ESA which is why I received more than standard.
Would the UC payment be boosted or will I have to make do with less?
I tried to speak to someone but they didn't know when I called and told me to wait until I got it

If you were in the Support Group for ESA then your UC will also include the LCWRA element from the start of your claim, as well as the standard allowance.Em1996fc said:Hi

Is this part of managed migration and you've received a letter asking you to claim UC?
Did your ESA include the Severe disability Premium? If you're unsure and you can tell me how much ESA you were receiving then I can tell you if it included the SDP.1 -

Yes I received a migration letter. I don't think classed as severely disabled. Just unwellpoppy12345 said:

If you are only looking at the 'flat rate' Standard Allowance of UC then it's less than ESA with Support Group.HOWEVER your Support Group status from ESA will automatically transfer (no new assessnent needed) to a UC LCWRA Element, and you should be better off.If you do have the SDP with ESA then that will be compensated for by an extra 'SDP Transitional Element'. In that case you will (should) be on the same money to start with as you got with ESA + SDP.1
