@Gweather -  keep that email safe!

Regarding "Once the sofa is received back into the warehouse, full refund will be issue to you, for which you shall receive communication form our central support department" note that s20(15) of the consumer rights act actually says:

"A refund under this section must be given without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days beginning with the day on which the trader agrees that the consumer is entitled to a refund."

So they should pay you no later than 14 days after the date of that email or any earlier correspondence from them where they agreed to refund you.

So as far as you are concerned you don't need to be kept waiting for them to get it back to their warehouse if it takes longer than 14 days after that email.

    Do you see?
I emailed them today when I read your comment reminding them of the 14 day  requirement and surprise surprise they called me a few hrs later to arrange collection on Monday. I think if I hadn’t emailed them that today I don’t think they would’ve bothered to arrange the collection so quickly. So thanks again 😀

    Ha ha!

I was concerned they would drag their heels to collect it.  Well done for following up my comment.

Make sure you get your refund!

I hadn’t realised that a sofa from DFS could cost nearly £3000. You'd think that for that amount of money they could take a bit more care!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Perhaps you need to get out and about more?

Here is a rival sofa company (others are available).

Their cheapest sofa is £6,325. It does come with legs, but they are very basic. If you want better ones, a 'leg up' so to speak, that is an additional £140 or more.
