Hello Everyone,

This forum has helped me win a court case before so I'm hoping to get a bit of basic advice.

I have received a PCN from PCS due to my wife parking in an "Un - Authorized" area for an 1 Hour 45 Minutes which was allegedly captured by ANPR.

The car is registered in my name but I was not present at the time of the alleged offence.

we received the initial charge notice mid December, with the date of the notice being sent recorded on the letter as 06/12/2024.

Due to the Christmas holidays I missed the window to appeal within 28 days.

I went to the website today anyway to try and see the evidence they have but have been unable to get anything from the website just an error message.

wondering what the best course of action is from this point and if its best to wait for a Letter Before Claim?

Its worth mentioning we are due to move house in a the next 2 months and wondering if I should make them aware of this now via email.

Any advice or guidance would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Do nothing unless you get a court claim.

    Thanks for the reply.

is it not worth chasing up to see their evidence? Also wondering if I should visit the site to do reconnaissance on the signage prior to moving house.

    Cheers

    1)  is it not worth chasing up to see their evidence?

    2)  Also wondering if I should visit the site to do reconnaissance on the signage prior to moving house.

    1) No

    2) definitely,  take pictures of the entrance,  signs,  do so at a similar time as the incident date

After you move,  email the DPO at the parking company with a data rectification notice, giving them your new address and that they must erase the old address

    No.

You don't want evidence before the vague claim form arrives. That's the joy of defending against a vague claim! Far better position for you.

Also wondering if I should visit the site to do reconnaissance on the signage prior to moving house.
Eek ... now that is dangerous because leaving them with two addresses risks a CCJ to the old address. After you move, do exactly as @Gr1pr advises and use the word ERASE.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Brief update,

Received a letter from Debt recovery plus bumped up to £160.

I'm guessing I need to ignore this too until the court letter arrives..

Just to get peoples advice, I'm guessing I now need to update my new address with all parties: Debt Recovery Plus, ANPR Parking Services Ltd, and PCS?
When contacting the DPO for each organization, is it worth calling up to get the correct email addresses or is sending to generic contact us email addresses usually adequate? (providing you get a confirmation reply)

Also, just wondering if the evidence/images of the area I have gathered will still be useful given that I wasn't the one driving?

    Cheers all
