Morning again.
It's raining here, started yesterday and can't seem to stop.
At least here in our little town we are sheltered from the worst of the weather, the snow has almost gone.
I didn't go out yesterday because the combination of snow and rain made it so slippery and horrible I just didn't bother.
I'm assuming our Book Club is still on at the Library, I'll walk down and see, it's not far.
A supermarket visit is a must as well, for a few basics.
Hope you're ok Izzy, up there in the Dales, I knew you would be snowed in.
Thinking of everyone really, especially the sad and poorly.
Stay warm and safe folks, be careful if you're going out.

Thanks for the start Scarlet
It’s snowed again here too which I wasn’t expecting. Mum’s supposed to having a blood test at 930 before her usual treatment on Wednesday so I’ll have to see if she still wants to go. If so I’ll have to clear the drive again though I don’t think it’ll take long. It’s a longish drive with slope up to the house, and even though it’s not steep it means getting back up it is usually impossible with even a bit of snow.
Neighbours and I cleared the snow yesterday, it was awful, just so wet and slushy. Then it rained all day which washed away most of the rest. I know many have had it much worse so hope everyone is ok.Not back at external work til new week so hoping for some craft work time to get ahead.
take care all

Morning SCARLET and all to follow. Conditions up here are horrendous to say the least. We have been totally cut off since the snow started to fall but I could hear what might have been a gritter or plough at 5.00 this morning. A couple of foolhardy folk have attempted to get passed me on to the main road down. The first got stuck and had to attempt to reverse and got abandoned. The second one made it but I don't know how far it got. Apparently conditions are better further down the road but you've to get there first! DD is further from the main road down than me and is texting for blow by blow accounts on any improvement! Her DP needs to get to work but there is no chance of that yet. Fortunately the girls' school is closed which is happen as well as they wouldn't have got there!
Fortunately I don't need to go anywhere but I worry about family who have to. I have the bedding in to wash and that will be festooning the up stairs when finished. The heating is working overtime this weather and I am expecting my DDebit increasing, Not much in the way of cooking to do as I did enough veg for leftovers to warm up. Just need to do a delve for something to go with them. Other than that it may be a day of sloth.
Have a good day if you can folks and take care and keep warm. ((HUGS)) for the poodlies, sad or lonely. xx

Morning everyone and thanks for starting us off Scarlet.
The rain is forecast all day here, but at least it's not snowing.
Where is Ger this morning - hope she is ok? xx13 -
Morning all
No snow here but it been raining for three days solid which is not nice had to give little dog a shower off yesterday as she came back from her walk so muddy, big one can tiptoe around the mud so was not too bad.
Back to work for me today it will be nice to see Rob although the break was much needed, the other lady is not coming as she has an appointment, Rob and I will meet out friends and go bowling and have some lunch out.
Dinner tonight will be either chilli or spag bol dd is off today so she will probably make it, I have a work meeting after work today which I could do without really but it should only last an hour or so.
Take care all of you with snow xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Good morning all
It has been raining hard here since yesterday afternoon, so has washed the snow away, and the salt the neighbours put down. Very thoughtful of them but we have to wash big dogs paws after he's been out so he doesn't lick them. He's the only dog along our patch now, the others have passed over the bridge.
Today's delights are mainly trimming big dogs nails. He walks miles on all surfaces but they still need tidying, mainly his dew claws. Letting the vet do them isn't an option, he has to be sedated to go there. At least he puts up with us. We have one of those grinders so can't cut too much. Oh, the joys of having a pet, so glamorous
Other than that there's no plans for today. We are going to start having porridge for breakfast instead of our usual toast or bacon buttie. Let's see how long it lasts. Pork chops for dinner.
Izzy, lovely photo, but stay safe and warm, and everyone else. Be careful if you have to go out.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Very windy here this morning but thankfully the snow missed us. As much as I loved @IzzyBee’s photo I’d rather it not visit us!
Weekly shop to do today in A!di and then a trip to the municipal tip with an old wardrobe the previous owners left us plus other detritus from Christmas.I’m going to enquire about a local knit and Knatter group too plus check the financials for the month ahead. There’s also a white wash to sort out once it has finished.Hope all those with snow are safe and warm. Hugs to those feeling sad or unwell x

Morning everyone
It's raining and windy here this morning, I'm pleased I don't have to go out. I have some jobs to do this morning and a couple of phone calls to make and then little one is coming for a couple of hours after lunch.
I'm back at work tomorrow and she'll be back to school.
DD will take her round to school this morning as there are nurses going to start training her new teacher and to explain her needs. Little one is nervous about going back without her old teacher there so she'll get to meet the new lady today and no doubt help explain herself to her! There is a teaching assistant and the head teacher both in her classroom too, who are trained to do everything.
Redruby - Rob will be happy to be back with you
TA - stay safe indoors
Snoozer - hope everyone got home safely
Hope everyone has a good day x
Forgot to ask has anyone been to Marrakech - eldest DD and I are thinking of going there in Easter school holidays x14
