Is there such a thing?

My wife has very limited vision and struggles when dialling a number that is not in the phone's memory.

She has to use a magnifier to read the number and can only enter a few numbers at a time.  The pauses during this result in the link beng disconnected.

Neither of us can cope with a smartphone.

Can you cope with an Alexa dot?

Nothing to see, no buttons to press. Simply say 'Alexa, call...

A simple smart phone would allow the display of bigger number text, and you dial/ type in the number before pressing call (I expect voice recognition could also work) - so would deal with your wife's issue around the speed of her number typing.

Might be worth having another look? You don't need to use the phone for it's other "smart features".

Edit: The RNIB has phones (including mobiles) for people with sight problems.

WHat about a big-button cordless where you can input, review and correct the number before pressing the 'dial' button?

Vitor, do you know the model that enables the full number to be entered before dialling it. This feature is not mentioned in the specificaation of any of the ones I have looked at.  Is it common to all of this series?
