How do these payday loans work - do you just pay the lump back in a oner or how does it work? £40 for nothing sounds quite good to me!!

On a similar note, do they show up on your credit files? It's all well and good making £40 for nothing, but I would imagine if I was a lender and I saw one on someones file it would make the lender look risky to me? Even if all your payments etc have been met, the fact you were prepared to take on that extortionate interest rate would suggest cash flow issues. The fact you've only done it to make a profit using a cashback site is obviously not evident on your files. I wouldn't want to make £40 now and then lose out on a couple of hundred from stoozing because of being wrongly seen as a risky customer.

I didn't think of the whole credit rating thing, although my credit rating probably can't get much worse!! Does anyone know if it adversely affects your credit rating?

excellent my payday loan has just tracked on quidco approx 24 hrs after, was getting worried for a bit then. 40 quid up, nice 1
  • Im really not sure about the credit rating worries , read lots about having too many credit cards etc affects your credit rating but i must have about 20 currently and 8 bank accounts and never have had a problem getting credit apart from once being refused a Virgin credit card but they explained it was purely because they didnt like my £18,000 credit limit on my MBNA card.
    WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
    Blimey what was that ?
    That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.
  • So is the product as the name suggests, you pay it back on your "payday" or do you pay it back in installments? I'd be happy to give it a go but I'm not keen on taking on something else which requires repayments in installments - all in one go would be ok tho. Can someone who's done it already let me know?

Does anyone do many of the offers that require a spend?

I always feel I should just sit down and go through all the betting ones etc in an evening - has anyone done this?
