I'd pull that WM fully out, and see if there's plinth along the side of that sink base. If there ain't, you should be able to check out a fair amount with a bright torch - it's the most obvious area for smelly and meece ingress.
Also see what access you have to under that corner unit to its right.
You may find that these are basic units without 'legs', in which case the sink base side will go all the way down to the floor, with no plinth. In that case, you'll likely need to remove the front plinth from it.

    We need photos...

This monster only adds to rodent problems - Brought one in late one night and let it run around in the lounge. No idea where it got to, or if it is still alive :s

Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

I've singled out that the bottom cabinet to the right of the WM is where the smoke smell is coming from. So yes, I'm gonna get in there and plug the gaps. As a temporary fix I've bunged some heavy duty tape over the gap in cabinets and that's actually helping a bit.

    Well done - clear progress.
Which gap have you covered so far? Will you be able to pull the WM out at some point for a proper look?

I'm going to wait for my day off to get onto it. I know how I am: I'll move it, see a gap, make a run to B and Q, take off the plinth, look at youtube tutorials, then it'll be 3am. And really I'm meant to be working and finishing a coursework lol. I can live with it for now. But I'll post updates!

    What a beauty!

I think the smell of cats keeps the mice at bay. My neighbours to the left are overrun with mice and I only see a few.
