Hi,
we are very new to re-claiming NI missing years for my wife (7 missing years from 2015-16 onwards) when she looked after our grandson.
The problem we have is our application for the missing years was only submitted in November 2024 and HMRC tell us its August 2025 before we can expect any response.
Obviously meantime, the deadline to actually pay for the missing years is April 2025.
We will pay for the missing years if we have to, but what then happens to the application for credit in those years??
