"What leverage do TUI have?"Presumably the largest multinational travel, leisure and tourism organisation in the world has some influence within one of its principal European markets ?"The UK isn't the only country which is slow at infrastructure projects."Indeed - they are now at a feasibility study stage I believe - we all know what that means !!!

We flew from Malaga on 25 May and did not notice any problem. Is the problem with 6am flights ?

We're frequent Málaga airport users. We make our way to passport control fairly quickly as we don't need the shops etc. Sometimes there's a queue (usually school hols), sometimes none. You usually know which area your return flight goes from (A, B,C) even if the gate hasn't been revealed, so there's no reason to not go there promptly. I think the new security measures will slow things down.0

Update.Apparently the major of Malaga has taken cognisance of the problem and has promised to seek action. Not sure how accurate that is of course, or how much influence he can exert.
