Best Open Banking Apps / Websites

Has anyone had experience of using dedicated open banking apps or websites and do you have any you would recommend (or avoid)? I’ve got a number of bank accounts (partly due to taking advantage of introductory offers for free cash) and exploring if can monitor them all in one place. TIA

I use the snoop app and it helps me keep track of all of my transactions and upcoming bills.

I've found open banking to mostly not deliver on the concept. Some banks say they support it but don't show up in other apps. Others do show up but only for their current account and not any savings or ISA accounts.

One that particularly springs to mind is Kroo. Their tech support confirmed that they support Open Banking but were unable to point to towards any software or App that will work with their particular implementation of OB. So not quite as open as you might hope.

Apps like Moneyhub try to use open banking but also try "screen scraping" to show you your accounts. If those two methods don't work then you have to add an account manually, which kinda defeats the point of Open Banking.

Agree, where a finance organisation supports Open Banking properly it works really well. They then try other approaches for other institutions which may work for a time, but often their work around get broken, or actively blocked.

Main banks typically work well, some of the investment platforms work with manual steps (2 factor codes etc), but finding things like pensions becoming less and less available through automated connections.

Really depends on what you want to connect up to really and what you are willing to update manually. Better than using old out of date applications like MS Money though where it is all pretty much manual.
