Glad you got it sorted.
Just changing the wifi name and password on the router is a much faster way to do this in the future (general comment for anyone reading really). Only reason not tho do this is if the old password was known by too many people. This is where having a guest wifi is best and only sharing that.0 -

It still has the APN and password it originally had, and that's the one I use with my Solis and most of the semi-smart kit. That router only does 54Mbps WiFi so the household's phones and laptops all get updated with the main router details.N. This is where having a guest wifi is best and only sharing that. When you say change the wifi name on the new router, do you literally give it the same name as the old one, or is it the IP address that you are changing?Only things we have now got left to update are the Octopus mini which can't see the new router for some reason, and the house alarm where I'm waiting on a reply fromthe installer.Make £2025 in 2025

Literally the same name and password. If the old router has a WiFi name of "SlinkysHouse" and a password of "1234", change the new router to have the same ones.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

....and best if you do that, it is quite easy, do it from a computer that has ethernet cable connecton to the router. That way you maintain connection without the WiFi so can easily correct it if you introduce an error such as a typo in the password. It is only the WiFi password that needs changed not the admin password.2

As the most incompetent IT person I know (me!) I watched a video on how to change the hub name/password and its only 30 mins work ,used a ten year old Macbook air no cable, I also managed to swap the stickers on the hub & slidy out bit so if we get anything new the details are all there.Deepest Kent. 4.6kW Growatt inverter, solar i boost+ 5.9kW Solar Edge

After having a horrific time trying to update my Solis Inverter dongle with my new broadband details via the Solis app, I gave up and did it this way instead (took 2 minutes and worked first time):1) Make sure red light on/green light flashing on the dongle (press button at back for 10 secs if not).2) On phone or laptop, connect to the Solis WiFi network (easy to find as called Solis at start but SN is in the app under 'data logger' if not). It'll say it's connected with no internet, but that's normal.3) Open the phone or laptop's internet browser and type into the web browser line "10.10.100.254".4) Log into the dongle using "admin" as user name and either "123456789" or if that doesn't work "solis123" as the password (all lower case only) - I used 123456789.5) Choose Quick Set down the left side.6) Type in your own WiFi's name then search and choose it.7) Type in your own WiFi's password and then hit Save.8) The dongle will then try to connect to Wi-Fi/Internet, the light should go solid green in a minute or so when that's done, and the Solis app should start pulling through data in 10 minutes or so (pull down from top to refresh).
Hope that works for you too.2
