Solis inverter and new broadband supplier

We've changed broadband supplier, currently still got both up and running, but will need to swap them over shortly. We've had a video and some instructions from our installer to advise how to change the setup, has anybody else done this easily and successfully with a Solis inverter?

If we can't swap them over, the installer will charge us £120+VAT for a callout, which will negate immediately any saving we make from the new broadband.  Also I'm concerned that we might mugger up the settings so that we can't connect to either supplier, and the last time we needed a callout, it was 3 weeks before they could get to us. Don't want to lose the ability to charge overnight.

Just want some reassurance from someone who has already done this?

I fitted my own Solis inverter, including setting up the WiFi stick and connection. It was slightly finicky but a little bit of persistence paid off.

What model of inverter do you have, and what version of the WiFi stick (there have been two or three)?

The inverter is S5-EH1P3.6K-L, the dongle is S3-WIFI-ST

Looking at the manual for the stick, it should be fairly straightforward to reset it. Does the video from the installer make sense to you?

Confused, why not just change the wifi name and password to be the same as the existing one and then switch off the old.

Everything that was connected to the old wifi will now reconnect to the new one without the need to touch all of the individual devices.

Or am I missing something?

Like most instruction videos, it's all so fast! Do this, do that, do the other, job done....... And there's the assumption that we're just trying to reconnect to the previous network. Does this look like what you did?

I did suggest that to OH but we've connected almost everything else now to the new router so would have to go round undoing a lot of what has already been done.

At least you know how to do those devices which removes the risk of needing to do a callout for this one device of concern.

It definitely looks similar.
I think I could follow that video, if I watchwd it a couple of times in advance and paused it every so often to jot down some notes.
