Hi - I have (stupidly) ordered an item of clothing, that UPS are now wanting £56 duty to be paid before delivery. This makes the item expensive, so will be returning the clothing - but want to know how do I claim/ get the duty back? I'll be out of pocket for returning the item over seas, so can't afford to also be out of pocket for the duty tax. TIA

Can you refuse to accept delivery from UPS? (Not paying the duty might be sufficient.) UPS will then return the parcel to the sender.
