Deliveroo nightmare

I would appreciate any help. I have no idea what to do. On new year's eve, I ordered £124 of food from deliveroo (stupidly I used a debit card, not a credit card). Only 5 dishes arrived. I phoned the restaurant who said they would approve a refund. Deliveroo have since given me an £85 credit note, that has to be spent within 3 months.
I have contacted deliveroo to say I want a refund for the missing items. They keep pointing me to the fact they have issued me a credit note. I have replied again asking for a refund which they are basically ignoring.
I have no idea what to do next. I feel totally stupid and hopeless!
EDIT: I was advised to try complaining on twitter, I did and the situation is now resolved. Amazing that contacting customer services did nothing. Anyway. A win is a win.

Cab you use the credit to order a load of essential things you'll need anyway?  Groceries, toilet rolls, etc?  It might not be what you're strictly entitled to, but it might be easier than all the hassle you're currently going through to try and reverse the credit note and get a proper refund.
  • Thanks so much! I actually messaged them on twitter instead of via their helpline. They have no issues a refund
