Travel insurance for my parents who are 82 and 85

They are going on a one off trip to Australia and need travel insurance.
Can anyone help.

Try Age Concern , they insure both my parents (74 and 83) and are very helpful. I think you will have to expect that they will not cover pre existing conditions or will load it heavily if you need such cover.

Good luck . My advice would be to avoid Saga like the plague, once you are on their mailing list they never stop sending bumpf, what a waste!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year Marks and Spencer were very price competitive for my parents trip to the USA. They covered 'declared' illnesses (through a medical line tel call) and were very helpful, although they did load the excess to £400 for my Mum (76). They were 76 and 83 when they travelled. As you are probably aware you need very good medical cover for the USA and this was provided by the M&S policy.

It is worth looking around but I agree Saga are a nono and I personally did not find Age Concern much better.

Good luck and do declare any illnesses and medication that they may be on.
