The shop at the tunnel does have some good prices on Absolut Vodka we got it from both sides when travelling over (different offer both sides). We didn’t have time to shop at the Hypermarrket (queues to get in) but I love it usually for the cheese.Save £12k in 25 No 49

When we came back from France in the summer, we had milk, butter and cheese in the fridge. The Immigration Officer who got in our campervan was only interested in looking under the beds and in the shower compartment.Mortgage Free November 2018

Well we resisted the cheese and are waiting for the ferry (where there is an excellent offer on vodka). Car was ‘searched’ by customs, although pretty sure we could have brought anything back. Still managed to spend €100 in the hypermarket (some stuff for fil’s birthday present, a couple of bits for mum and the rest a split of personal spends and grocery shopping - will be using the ‘savings’ pots for both of those). Have had a lovely time and already working out how to improve next time (staying in France, getting the train etc).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I love cheese... I try cheese everywhere I go and still haven't found any I don't like. I even like the ones that smell like cheesy feet

You’re not allowed to bring cheese or any dairy or most meat back from the EU currently Jess due to foot and mouth in parts of Europe. Otherwise we’d have been bringing cheese back!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I was going to ask - I assumed from how you'd phrased things, there was some sort of regulatory prohibition, regarding cheese/dairy, rather than personal restraint... 🤣 Sounds like you have had a great trip though tmv. Thanks for 'sharing' 😁👍
