Royal Sun Alliance Finding a previous house insurance claim from 2021

First Post – Hello! 👋

I just realized I made a claim back in 2021 but can’t find any details about it. All I know is that it was with Royal Sun Alliance, which has since been taken over by Admiral.

After numerous long phone calls, I’m still no closer to getting any information. The issue is that my current insurer is ending my coverage, and I can’t get new insurance without the claim details.

The only lead I have is through The Claims and Underwriting Exchange (CUE), which keeps a central database of all incidents reported to insurers. I’ve requested the info from them, but in the meantime, if anyone has tips on how to secure insurance with just the claim date (and no further details), I’d be super grateful!

Thanks in advance! 😊

RSA hasn't been taken over by Admiral, the sold the rights to offer a renewal to their former Direct/More Th<n customers to Admiral but retained the historic policies/liabilities themselves.

You'd need to contact RSA, you can use https://www.rsainsurance.co.uk/more-than-existing-customers/ to get the right number to call. You need your old policy number as the prefix determines which team it goes to.

You call the telephone number thats in the Call Us that appears after selecting one of the options. Thankfully whilst choosing the different prefixes does change the number for policy servicing for claims it remains the same.

Was it a More Th<n policy? Was it via a broker? I'm assuming the former given you mention Admiral as RSA still write home insurance via brokers.
  • Thank you
It looks like the The Claims and Underwriting Exchange (CUE), might come up with the info.

I'm a tad "phone called out" after a couple of days of investigations

    Thank you so much
I might try calling again next week when Ive re-charged my pot of patience!
