Is there any common theme in the content of the emails? If so you can create rules blocking certain words/phrases0

Check the Spam rules on the web version of BT Internet Mail. By making the rules more agressive, you may block most spam. Do remember to check the spam folder now and again to catch false positives.

you need rules such as 'if email contains the word bitcoin then delete'1

Yeah, the new bane of the spam inbox is the AI bots spewing out emails.
But the easiest and quickest way to stop them is to setup a rule. "From", and "does not contain", "@, and then delete". Depending on your client of choice.
It basically means every email which does not have an @ gets canned.
Works out better than trying to filter by keywords, IP and all the other goodness.2 -
Are you viewing the sender which is often just a persons name which stupidly is now the only option some email clients show
or the REAL senders emails address where you need to go into details to show the real email address the email came from?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1
