Flat to pitched roof on porch

I need to change my flat porch roof to a pitched one - it’s leaking in plus would then match next door who have a pitched one.
The porch is tiny, not useful at all except to have a sliding door before the front door, so would eventually like to extend it if possible to create some space in the entranceway (not sure this would be doable due to next door being adjacent/connected) though this is not something that can be done right now. The roof replacement is something that needs doing - Info from survey below and image attached
Do I need any planning to do this?

‘The flat roof is leaking water into the structure and hallway below. The lead work appears watertight however the junction to next doors felt material is not sealed. The roof covering will
need to be repaired to prevent water ingress, the flat roof also may need to have a gradient introduced to ensure the roof drains correctly’

It strikes me as wasteful to reroof that wee porch if there's any chance of extending it in the near future.
There are numerous brush-on products such as Cromapol that will seal and cover any cracks, and hold off the leak for years until then.
Worth having a chat with your neighbour to see if they'd want their porch extending too? If so, there should be a significant cost saving to be had, as well as possibly a more aesthetic overall design - a side pitched style - A - for example?
Check your LA's Planning Portal to see what it says about permitted planning regarding front porches, and also worth checking your deeds to see if the building co put in any restrictions on visible 'streetscene' changes.
But if Planning is ok with your proposal, then you can go ahead, but may need to offer your neighb the opportunity to engage a PW surveyor. Depends a lot on how well you get on.

Thank you for replying - other houses have extended theirs so assume it wouldn’t be a problem. I do plan on speaking to neighbour to see if they’ve considered extending previously. I was thinking of pitched roof as an extension wouldn’t be doable any time soon but will look into other options thank you1
