The wind has finally dropped to reasonable levels and it has topped up our batteries. Since it was so nice DH and I went to one of the surrounding villages. We had a bit of a walk around and looked in two charity shops. I bought some DVDs and some magazines and DH came away with some books and DIY bits. The local café does nice food so we stopped for lunch along with cake. All in all, it’s been a lovely day. I’ve spent this evening reading a book, drinking coffee and munching biscuits.

This morning DH fixed the sunroom roof as it had been leaking. It's a good job he fixed it first thing as the wind picked up after lunch and has been very strong. He also fixed a strimmer that's been on his 'to do' list for ages. We've sold 4 things on eBay so that's good.

I’ve been doing a bit of decluttering and have some books, DVDs and greeting cards to go to the charity shop the next time we’re passing. I’ve also started to do the end of year accounts. I do them a bit at a time so I’m not overwhelmed but so that they’ll be ready for the 1st January 2026.

Sundays are always quiet days. A time to catch up on world news, and make phone calls.

It’s really windy here again today, so dog walks have been short. DH has been busy with his hobby and I’ve been cutting out felties to sew over the coming week. I’ve also bought myself some new craft books and I’m looking forward to them arriving.

Today's been a lovely day, cold but calm. DH has managed to take the dogs on some nice long walks. Unfortunately, I’ve been stuck indoors waiting for the Calor gas bottle delivery. They were supposed to deliver last Thursday (so I stayed in), they didn’t show today either (and I stayed in). Delivery is now scheduled for tomorrow so I will have to stay in. At least it encouraged me to start sewing the felties that I cut out.

I had little bits of red felt left over from making Santa Claus felties so I’ve made some small hearts. I’ll take some photos of the stuff I’ve been making and post them.

Aargh that's so annoying that you've waited in twice, here's hoping they come nice and early today so you've got the rest of the day at your leisure (not theirs)

Four_Seasons & Liselle thank you both very much, you are so kind.

DH called the Calor gas people this morning and they agreed to a delivery tomorrow. However, the cannisters turned up today. They made a special trip just for us. They must have realised how bad it was that they’d failed to deliver 3 times. They also waved the delivery charge, so that was an unexpected bonus. It’s such a relief DH was like a bear with a sore head over the issue.

I’ve been tidying up today as we have family coming tomorrow. Everything is done now, except the bathroom which I’ll clean in the morning.

I’m relaxing now and watching another episode of ‘The Blacklist’. I’m up to season 5 and it’s still good.

How have you got on with Etsy? I have found it a little slow the last few months but had a little flurry today, just hope they are delivered before Christmas 🙂. I only make a few bits but it keeps me occupied in an evening. Enjoy your time with family x
