Chromebook vs Budget Laptop - Thoughts?

Cheers, I've been fairly impressed with Asus over Dell but now you mention it, less so keyboard wise. Lenovo used to be built like tanks (think pad days) , could be a good option here actually0

I'd stay clear of Dell unless you can afford an expensive one. The build quality of the cheap ones is bad and the hinges are likely to break.jshm2 said:Depends, as it seems you're looking for something with a good keyboard, rather than outright power or screen.
Chromebooks tend to be good all round usage machines at a fair price. But you can get decent second hand laptops with a full keyboard, made for typists. Asus and HP aren't too good in keyboard reliability. Maybe see if you can get a Lenovo or Dell instead.0
