Free offline spreadsheet software

Hi all, happy new year!
I have searched and searched but am struggling. I have a tablet that I want to be able to access and save my budget spreadsheet on, as it's so much easier than starting the very laptop up.
As it has my financial details on it, I want to be able to edit and save offline. But I am struggling to find offline spreadsheet software that allows editing on an android tablet. I only need very basic functions - most of it is just typed in cells rather than formulae.
Does anyone have any recommendations, please?
(I have seen the MSE article on alternatives to office, but some are not on android, some don't allow editing, and most are online.)
Thank you.

' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".

"Google Sheets" is the most obvious answer.
You already have a google account if you're using android.
edit... but you said "offline". not sure whether that works offline - probably not.
having said that... have you considered remaining online?2 -
and... in general, Google sheets does support offline edit in Chrome. (again not sure if that applies to Chrome under Android)

This link suggests you can go offline with Google Sheets on Android.

There's a shareware version of SpreadCE's Android version here: http://byedesign.co.uk/You have to scroll down, download the zip from the Android column, unzip and install the apk (which might cause your tablet to get upset about the sideloading). The registered version is only a few £s on the Google Play store though, so it'd be easier to get that way but wouldn't be free. It's 100% offline.1

Softmaker Free Office works on Android, it's installed so works offline - I have it on this phone for both the WP (Textmaker) and Spreadsheets (Planmaker).See the link to the Google Play Store here: https://www.freeoffice.com/en/download

Microsoft Office for Android includes Excel and is free to use for basic functions on tablets under 10.1" screen.0

Have you tried this?

If the screen is under 10.1" then just use Microsoft Office and OneDrive and then you just keep the one file auto sync'd with your laptop.1

WPS Office is probably the best spreadsheet app on Android.0
