On 6th June 1944, the legendary warship, HMS Belfast played a pivotal role in the initial bombardment of Normandy as part of Operation Overlord – turning the tide of the Second World War.
Featuring a dramatic design of the battle-hardened vessel in action, this £2 coin is the first of its kind to pay tribute to HMS Belfast.
