Unknown debit card payments

in Credit cards
My auntie has had 3 x payments come out of her current account for £1, £59.99 & £59.99 (the first two at the same time and the third 1 month later), the description on the bank statement is GSLDRBILL.CC and the only other reference shown is NICOSIA CY. She contacted NatWest who have frozen her card and are looking into it but have told her to contact the merchant, thing is these are totally unrecognisable transactions so she doesn't know who to contact. Surely as this is fraud the bank should have recredited the payments but haven't. Any advice greatly received

It looks like somebody has signed up to a recurring payment, maybe unwittingly. Searching doesn't find a lot but there are some hints that it may be related to gaming. NatWest will be able to prevent future payments but unless others think a chargeback might be successful there may not be much hope of recovering the payments already made.

A very quick google suggests this may be some form of subscription service entered into. Has she signed up to anything?

Although I haven’t found the actual join up page, I think it is possible it is this lot. They are a subscription gaming service with a Cyprus address.

So does she have any younger relatives who might have used her account without her consent?Either way, I would just go back to the bank and say it’s not her and it’s fraud. I wouldn’t bother contacting the company directly - they don’t sound reputable.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
