For those new to flying, Southdown Gliding Club offers an unforgettable Introductory Flight Experience. This is the perfect way to take to the skies, whether you’re considering gliding as a hobby or simply want to enjoy a thrilling flight with stunning views.

No previous flying experience is required! On the day of your flight, you’ll receive a ground briefing before heading out to the glider. A highly skilled instructor will guide you through a 15-20 minute flight, showing you how the glider works and offering the chance to try out some basic manoeuvres. If you prefer, you can simply relax, sit back, and enjoy the incredible sensation of gliding quietly over the beautiful countryside below.

In addition to your flight, the Introductory Flight Experience also includes a month of full membership to the club. This gives you access to further lessons and flying opportunities at member rates, should you wish to continue your gliding journey and explore more of what the club has to offer.
