Thanks for thinking of me Cathybird, I kept debating posting to say I was ok just not AF but didn't want to dampen the thread. I managed another AF one last Wednesday night so I am now on 2/14.
We put our home on the market a month ago and spent a few weeks before that taking a storeage locker and filling it with all our rubbish I mean precious possessions. Since the discussions about moving all started in addition to ongoing caring stuff 4 days a week I have been drinking every day except what pitiful few I posted on here. I slept so amazingly well on Wednesday night. Woke up full of the joys of spring yesterday and I 100% planned to repeat it last night. Roll on 10 hours later after a day caring and all the family drama and then the drive back home to London in the rain my good intentions disappeared out of the window when I got home. (insert eye roll smiley here!). Now I'm looking at a full caring-free weekend at home with my other half not on call either so don't want to be AF for it. We are even thinking about going to see a band or some similar level of out out. I hope to add to my total on Monday and/or Tuesday next week.

Six AFDs so far 😁. It was so nice on holiday to get up bright and early without a hangover/sluggish, tired feelings.6

6/28 for me today please. I was slightly tempted to examine the wine offers, but swerved at the last minute, phew! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?6

6/6 today please Cathybird. Have a real test tomorrow as I am out with some friends that I always usually drink with. I haven't mentioned anything about not drinking yet as I don't want anyone starting early trying to persuade me.6

5/10 please for today, Friday. Having successfully navigated for me the s*d it time before dinner, when I would have loved a glass of wine, had dinner with water and coffee I can relax as I won’t have a drink now. I know how you felt tonight @wannabeFree as I too was very tempted and had to force myself to drive past the shop. However, this is very early days for me as I have wine most days since March and need to break the habit. I don’t want to be completely AF but need to revert to better habits. Good luck restarting after the weekend.

3/20 today please, @cathybird3

Friday night, and there was some wine in the cupboard so drank that. Have asked DP not to buy more and bring it in the house (he can leave it in the boot of his car if he wants) rather than me see it because if I do I think I'll just "use it up"
He thought that was a plan so all good. I'm on 5/20 and declaring early for Saturday evening so 6/20Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
