well done to maggiem, maman and sukeyboo for meeting targets
I had a difficult day yesterday, resorted to wine and chocolate, spent £10, slept badly, felt fat and, most importantly, was no happier for it. A reminder to myself, it doesn't help, and I could buy pretty plants with the same money. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Thank you so much for your comment @redofromstart , it meant a lot. I also need to take on board what you said, I too often turn to wine and food after a difficult day and yes, sleep badly, feel fat and am no happier. You would think at my advanced age and general decrepitude I might have worked out a better tactic. Homer Simpson’s ‘doh’ feels appropriate here! Let’s hope it is possible to teach me an old dog, new tricks.well done to maggiem, maman and sukeyboo for meeting targets

Redo, thank you for your post, I need to remember that too. Apart from buying pretty plants of course
you mean pretty books.
Declaring early to boost my commitment later as I expect tonight to be a harder one as Thursdays usually are. I will drive back from caring, feel cold, tired and sorry for myself and believe that I derserve wine. But tomorrow I want to deserve being proud of myself not disappointed. This evening I have the ingredients of a soft drink ready. And there is hot chocolate and I can take painkillers if my back hurts rather than drink. Plus eat dinner and wait 20 minutes before drinking as I always feel better after food.
11/14 please Cathybird6
