11 AFDs so far. Can’t believe two weekends have passed and I’ve not bought wine (or gin) when I went shopping.7

Today I walked around a craft fair at the localish market town. Lots of people sat outside the pubs enjoying a nice cold drink in the sunshine. Hurrah for being billy no mates (miss you Mr Redo) and being frankly far too mean to pay pub prices. Came home and had a nice cold AF beer instead in my own pretty peaceful garden.
11 for me please Cathybird. Thank you.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Thanks @Season_of_Mist @RobM99 @satchmo1 and well done in how far you have all come. It's good to be in the company now people who 'get it'
Today I went out with a new friend who does not drink alcohol or coffee. It felt like a relief...
10/23 for me please @cathybirdIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

10/24 today please Cathybird and reporting the first alcohol free weekend in a very very long time.6

I know what you mean @doingitanyway - friends who still drink make it very difficult for you. I have had lots of 'jokey' comments which are definitely aimed at getting me to have a drink. It is much less stressful to go out with someone likeminded so there is absolutely no pressure to drink and you don't have to explain yourself.7

12/23 today please, @cathybird - thank you.
I also feel that I have no desire to drink apart from when socialising, possibly. Gone are the days when we used to drink wine almost every day with our evening meal!6 -
