Hi everyone looking for advice, so I took my van to have the wet belt done and service etc, after picking my van up a few miles down the road the van service light came on then went into limp mode for a few minutes then cut out, would not re start, rang recovery and recovery said he suspected the wet belt has failed, very noisy when trying to start like metal banging etc, spoke to the ford dealership that did the welt best and service and the response was that won’t be anything we have done, just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. Many thanks

Take it to a different garage for diagnosis, it could be anything. Is this an old car that maybe is not worth fixing? Are you in the AA or RAC, they may offer advice on where to take your car. How many miles did you drive, how may miles has the car done, what model is it, engine size?0

Literally immediately after the work was done...?
All fine detail apart, the first suspect HAS to be the work that was just done!
Something left loose, something not refitted correctly.
"Nah, not us, guv" from service reception is not on.
STRAIGHT BACK THERE, and up the food chain.
The minute somebody else lays spanners on it, their plausible deniability starts.9 -

..so the garage replaced the wet belt, the wet belt failed shortly afterwards, but it's got nothing to do with what the garage did...how do they explain that then???

The OP needs to come back with more information.0

Engine will spin but not start, recovery plugged it in, came out no faults which he said tells him nothing electrical0

So it could be that there is no fuel getting to the engine, nothing electrical is only a small part of it.
