PIP New year payment for Jan 2nd.

I am due PIP on Thursday 2nd Jan and have seen the new Benefits payments dates for over Christmas and New year and its saying payments due on Jan 2nd will be paid on Dec 31st.

So can anyone in the know tell me what is true as knew they had changed payment dates not long before Christmas and going by the table i have added below from the Gov website i am a little confused on if PIP will be paid on Jan 2nd or Dec 31st as it looks like it will be paid on Dec 31st.

Paid on the same day as Scotland or normal payday(Jan 2nd)?
  • From a different table at https://www.gov.uk/how-to-have-your-benefits-paid your Pip payment is only affected if you're in Scotland when it will be paid on 31st if it was due on the 2nd. The 2nd isn't a bank holiday elsewhere

Sorry but being a bit blunt here.  It is never ever paid late so really it should not matter.  Although I do appreciate that receiving it early & using it to pay debts can reduce the interest you may pay.

Only people paid on PIP on Wednesday in England will receive benefits on the 31st due to bank holiday new year
  • Just a update.

PIP for Jan 2nd has just gone into bank but ESA has not which i knew would not go in early,

So seems that cause PIP payments for Scotland went in today its the same for England.
