Chorley Building Society - Regular Saver Maturity
Has anyone recently received the maturity form by post? I have had a text message saying they haven't had my form and giving me a link ... which then gives me "option 1" or "option 2" but no further information so I don't know what they are?
I'm at work today and can't call so wondered if anyone could tell me what the options are? I have not had the postal version of the form as yet.
Many thanksSave £12k in 2022 #54 reporting for duty0 -
No, I was a new customer (until yesterday evening). Logged on again this morning (approx 9:30 or 10:00 ) and fully funded (via Debit card) for the month.wmb194 said:

I know this probably won't help, but ... I opened one yesterday evening at approx 21:30 ... part funded it with a debit card. Everything seemed to go OK .wmb194 said:

I’ve had a payment bounced back today for funds I’ve added to this account to replace money that was withdrawn earlier in the month. The amount seems random as I’d taken out about £1425 on the 2nd, funded it last week with around £1220 from a matured Principality RS so had another £200 or so to pay back in when I get paid on Monday. They’ve today returned £676 and a few pence to me, saying I can only add £150 per month. Don’t know where they got the £676.xx from, and I’ve not had this problem before, but I’m not going to pick at that thread as it doesn’t actually state anywhere in the T&Cs that this is permitted, and I don’t want to draw attention to the fact I’ve done this a couple of times.A shame if this loophole has been closed, especially on the day an interest rate cut has been announced (although at 5.25% this account will be now less attractive than my ISA)I had the same with my RBS Digital RS. I withdrew £2k on the 5th December and replaced it back in full on the 12th only to have £1099 (?) returned to my RBS Current account with the message you can only deposit £150 per month. As the interest rate for the digital RS will be cut to 5.25% as of 19th January 2026, I'm in no rush to replace the returned amount and will just add monthly funds with whats left over / compound interest. The same has also happened with my Natwest Digital RS (Interest rate cut to 5.25% as of 19th January 2026) It was a nice loophole while it lasted! Is anyone having issues with trying to open a Dudley BS 5.5% Var Online Festive RS? I keep getting an unsuccessful due to technical issues message along with the BS telephone number after submitting my online application?
I'm getting the telephone number thing as well - 'mobile phone not available, please call customer services.'1 -
It is working perfectly well at presentwmb194 said:

I also opened and funded one last night, as a new customer. I must say, it was one of the easiest and quickest that I have ever opened.wmb194 said:

I believe Chorley sends withdrawals using BACS rather than faster payments, so the money may not arrive until the following week. It may be better the leave the money in the maturity account and withdraw on Monday 5 January.Option 1 – Re-invest into a new Regular Saver
If you would like to continue with a Regular Saver, you can choose between £25.00 and £400.00 of your maturing balance as your initial deposit. Your account number will remain the same. The remaining funds can be moved into the Members Maturity Easy Access Account or sent to an account of your choice.
Following feedback from our members we will now exclude your rollover amount from your January monthly subscription. E.g. If you have opted to rollover £400.00, you can make an additional subscription of £400.00 in January.
Please make sure that your standing order is set up to continue with your monthly subscription.
Option 2 – Account closure
This account will be closed, and your balance and interest will be credited to an account of your choice. Please make sure that your standing order is cancelled with your bank.
If you take no action, your account balance and interest will transfer into our Members Maturity Easy Access (2 withdrawals) Account. As this account is for maturing balances only, please cancel your standing order, otherwise payments will be returned.

Dudley Festive RS online
Applied for the Dudley Festive RS this morning as a new customer. Filling in the forms was easy. At the end I think it said I would need to wait up to 3 days to hear from them. No email acknowledgement etc yet. I said I would fund by bank transfer - perhaps that makes a difference compared to funding by debit card ? Any way I'm in no hurry.2 -
Existing Dudley customer, intend to apply tomorrow and pay by card so that it will mature on a Monday.

I'm getting the telephone number thing as well - 'mobile phone not available, please call customer services.'I tried yesterday evening between 8-10pm with the part funded debit card option & nominated bank account several times and it was the same application error each time - cookies also cleaned. I even tried a couple of other browsers just in case and that was a no go too.Unfortunately, the issue still remains - i've tried as a new customer, an existing customer, and trying to apply once logged in:-( No doubt it will have to be a phone call as it staes it's a 'techinal issue' ?Applying for a Dudley Festive RS using my mobile phone as a new customer has worked just fine this afternoon (Saturday). Account opened within 2 minutes and fully funded for the month. I can see and access the RS in my Dudley Account Panel immediately after applying. However, applying online by laptop or iPad as a new or existing customer has been a constant no go 'techical issues' since Friday evening for me.~ NSD 2025 - NSD December 18/20 (11 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - On Rest - 2 x £25 Vouchers Redeemed, 29 FREE Books of RM Stamps & 2 x Presentation Pack.~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1756.28 / £2025 (4) 💯💯💯# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £22,375.08 / £12,000 💯 (12) - Completed1 -
