I'm waiting on £10k+ from GateHouse, that should have arrived on Friday and as of yet, has not.

I'm taking screen shots of GateHouse and my receiving bank.

Any suggestions on the best way to prepare for a compensation claim, in this case ?

This would be for loss of interest and for the inability to provide a service within an expected time frame, maybe more ?

I've already informed Gatehouse that I will be making a claim for compensation after my transfer is completed.

Apologies for taking the thread off-topic especially as it's less of an issue now as payments from Gatehouse Bank seemed to have started being credited.

However, I am in a similar position to the above and thus interested in how Gatehouse respond to these complaints.

They are not Barclays and it appears that the payments will be made by the end of the next working day as allowed under the Payment Services Directive.

The payments were requested on Thursday, so should have been in the receiving account by close of Friday. They arrived today, clearly not in accordance with the PSD. However, apart from the angst whether the money would arrive in time for any SOs/DDs going out in the early hours of Monday, and apart from people not able to move their cash manually into better paying accounts yesterday/today, the actual loss of interest is minimal. I have calculated it's less than £5 for me, on a £12k withdrawal. You can argue that it's the principle but you can also argue that it's a bit petty to ask for compensation. Somebody convince me please why I should raise a complaint with Gatehouse.
Yes I agree. There was a suggestion that it might not have been sorted until Tuesday or even Wednesday which would have been worse for me as I'm not around for a while.

Sadly it's a variable rate and Loughborough have previous with knocking down decent savers within term. Might still grab speculatively.

Despite it looking like my erroneous standing order paymet would go out today to Principality, on checking my Santander account today, it's not gone through, so all's good.

Have they? I know they have form on not increasing rates (I opened their reg saver when bank rate was on the floor and they offered 2.5%, and it is still there now!) but I don't recall any one year reg savers that they've been bad with.

I'll bag some of this I think. It's the first time I've seen them allowing emailed applications too.

Me too. Wondering if I should change my bank statement to postal statements (due one next week) or whether they are likely to accept the PDF downloaded from the app.

Easy way to get a foot in the door for me, as no previous dealings with them. Wouldn’t post off for this rate, but happy to email them.

In the past, they would ask for your passport to be certified which was a faff (and a cost). Wondering if emailing your ID still requires this?

I would suggest preparing a very detailed claim explaining the loss you incurred due to the delay. Leave it sit on your desk for a week and if a week later you feel it is justified, and not a little petty, then sent it off.
