Have they just announced this? Why would they do that two days before the Bank of England base rate meeting?happybagger said:@Bridlington1
Loughborough BS
Rate changes effective 5 Jan 2026
open accounts
Limited Access Monthly Saver from 4.45 to 4.25
2 Year Super Saver remains at 5.00
closed accounts
1 Year Super Saver from 6.00 to 5.80
Retirement Monthly Saver remains at 5.50
Holiday Monthly Saver from 5.60 to 5.40

Because they know the outcome of this meeting, everyone knows, some react slower some quicker. Loughborough reduction is very modest, won't affect my strategy.

The only none RS I have is Online Bonus Triple Access Issue 7 with £1 balance. My last successful roll over was on 5th Dec. I have 6 iss4s, but it looks like this number is going to decline.soulsaver said:I know: Back to speculating but IIRC nobody tested these circumstances that PBS may be cutting slack on:
Have people who have been rejected had any significant funds outside PBS's Reg Savers?
And/or have people who've not been rejected got significant deposits outside PBS's RSs?
I'm in the latter group- and, accepting that it would be wise NOT to provide enough info to be identified by a digital search, I'll add I've got quite a few more Iss4s than anyone else has declared on here.
And my last conversion was just about a week ago, too.2 -
I have a Christmas 2025 maturing on 21st Dec and a RS3 maturing on 23rd Dec.trickydicky14 said:Principality B.S
The question I wish to ask is, has anyone who has more accounts than they should have managed to get a new account opened in the past shall we say 7 days. I managed it on the 5th so I think I just got under the wire.On 8th Dec I gave maturity instructions for the Christmas 2025 requesting a Christmas 2026. This seems to have been accepted as I have not had a message rejecting it, even though I already have a Christmas 2026 RS.
I am reluctant to give maturity instructions on my remaining one incase it highlights this, so I will wait until the 21st when my new Christmas 2026 is open and then I will give maturity instructions for another Christmas RS.3 -
Re Principality, me and OH seem to have got away with it with a 6/12 maturity. None now until the end of Feb, so I'm hoping they are just having a concentrated staffing effort in the hope of creating a deterrent effect rather than a system change rendering it impossible going forward2

I'm in the same position, I had one roll over at the same time, with my next maturity being in February, and then one a month until July. I'm not optimistic of being allowed to renew them, with the exception of the very last one.0

Anyone else got problems accessing Monmouthshire accounts this morning? ‘My Accounts’ is not displaying at all on the website and on the app I just get ‘Customer not found. Please try again’.
Always worked previously and no indication of any maintenance….🤷

Perhaps what would be more useful is if anyone can please advise if they have successfully had a duplicate (or more) account processed as a maturity option within the last week (10th December onwards). Seems lots of us are getting them rejected, but curious if anyone has been still getting them accepted...If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
N.B. (Amended from Forum Rules): You must investigate, and check several times, before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my content, as nothing I post is advice, rather it is personal opinion and is solely for discussion purposes. I research before my posts, and I never intend to share anything that is misleading, misinforming, or out of date, but don't rely on everything you read. Some of the information changes quickly, is my own opinion or may be incorrect. Verify anything you read before acting on it to protect yourself because you are responsible for any action you consequently make... DYOR, YMMV etc.2 -
I had two 6 month RSs maturing yesterday. One has been accepted as a (second) Christmas RS. The other for another 6 month has been rejected.ForumUser7 said:Principality

Good morning,
I just thought I'd make you all aware if you haven't seen it already, but a new thread has been launched recently by @OwnedByACat, The Cashback for Bank or Investment Accounts Discussion Thread.
Sometimes you can earn cashback for opening one of the accounts on this thread, or an account necessary to be eligible to open one of the regular savers, e.g. you can often get cashback for opening a First Direct current account, and opening the current account allows you to be eligible for the regular saver.
Personally I think a dedicated thread for cashback offers is a good idea, and a useful one to have on the forum, therefore I'll say if you wish to discuss cashback offers specifically then please use The Cashback for Bank or Investment Accounts Discussion Thread.
The scope of this thread remains unchanged however, this is still the place to discuss all things to do with regular savers, including but not limited to queries about regular savers, discussion about the regular savers landscape more generally, your regular saver strategy etc.
I have now included a link to The Cashback for Bank or Investment Accounts Discussion Thread on p1 of this thread for info.
