Melton BS RS4Bridlington1 said:Has anyone else's Melton BS RS4 (NLA) remained open despite it having meant to've matured earlier this week?
They opened an Instant Access account and transferred the interest to it on Wednesday as part of the maturity process. On Thursday I transferred the interest back into the RS4 as an experiment and it still shows in there at 5.5% today.
I seem to recall others have reported issues attempting to close the account earlier this month so I'm wondering if this is another side-effect of this issue.
Yes, me too. I intend to fund it on 1st December and see what happens, as it still says next interest payment date is 31st May.1 -
Progressive BSI have just logged in, for only the second time ever, and find "News and Notifications" dated 9.33 am on 20 November with a welcome to our brand-new website. Showcasing a fresh new look, enhanced features, navigation and accessibility, etc.Not just a regular saver peice of news, but as I hadn't spotted anyone else posting about it I thought I would. Not sure I know what the old site looked like.5

Black in August I opened both MBS RS issue 8 and the exclusive issue 1
but in August I didnt fully fund them
this means after 12 payments, neither account will be at the maximum balance
i see nothing in the T&Cs against a 13 payment, just the maximum balance a of 6k and 12k
does any one know if I will be able to make 13th payments in August next year to bring balance up to maximum ?0 -
Yes, you will be able to make payments in August as long as you don’t exceed the maximum balance.proudgecko said:Black in August I opened both MBS RS issue 8 and the exclusive issue 1

You would still be subject to the monthly limits in August, so if you had £5k and £10k in them, you could only go up £5,500 and £11,000proudgecko said:Black in August I opened both MBS RS issue 8 and the exclusive issue 1

I forget with First Direct are you able to choose the day the standing order comes out?0

You're not able to change the SO date, but you can vary the SO amount.LZC said:I forget with First Direct are you able to choose the day the standing order comes out?1 -
I moved the FD SO (by cancelling their one, and adding a new one) from the end of the month to the beginning, but people have said that the interest of 7% is only applied to that deposit from the day date the account was opened so I have gained nothing (and may be losing a small amount of interest) by moving it earlier in the month (I assume they meant on the 300 deposit).LZC said:I forget with First Direct are you able to choose the day the standing order comes out?2 -
Thanks. I’m setting up a new one again, so if I want the Standing Order to come out on the 27th each month when should I apply?Bridlington1 said:

At least one working day before, IMHO.1
