My Gatehouse Bank Regular Saver Issue 2 matures on 4th November. It has been earning 5.30% variable for a year with a monthly deposit of (up to) £300. There doesn't seem to be a replacement RS account being offered by Gatehouse at the moment when I checked today. Just wondering if anyone knows if a replacement is on the horizon?
My Issue 2 matured on 31st March, Issue 1 on 29th November last year.  There were no replacements since.  I wouldn't play a guess game, just assume that there is nothing on horizon and if Gatehouse comes up with another surprise you will see the announcement followed by 30+ new posts in this thread :)

    Re Scottish BS replies  :)

I will reply to email ... and send £200 faster payments.
Not sure how fast faster payments to Scottish BS accounts are in practice. I opened a Regular Saver with an initial £50 deposit by cheque. There was a delay of my own making for having omitted to include nominated bank details in my application. Anticipating it could come in handy to expedite matters, in the meantime I also opened an e-Saver Plus account online.

Yesterday I received confirmation that the RS was open and sure enough the details had been linked to my online account which already showed the
e-Saver Plus. Late last night I sent a test payment of £1 by faster payments to the RS using the sort code and bank account details of the e-Saver Plus and the account number of the RS, followed at lunch time today by a further FP of £199. As of just now neither of those payments is showing online, so it will be interesting to see if they do end up being credited today, or if I have missed November's boat.

HRBS Christmas RS to be launched 1/11/25

    The details I've been given:
    5% (var)
    £100/Mth max
    Can skip months
30 notice on withdrawals which are unlimited
Branch/post opening but can be viewed online once opened.

They have said they'll send an application pack to me when it's launched
    https://www.hrbs.co.uk/savings-products/christmas-saver-30-day-notice/
Also of note is the fixed maturity date of 1/11/26 for all accounts. All other details appear to be as summarised above.
I see there is a discrepancy in their RS accounts t+c's.
Both say, on maturity, it matures into an Easy Access account that permits withdrawals and deposits

interesting, didn't the 30 day RS account mature into a 30 day notice account with no additional deposits permitted?

Either way, I will open this, but will be retaining the t+c's document.

Yes it should do, principality seem to credit accounts automatically, its just down to how fast the 'faster payment' is

For some reason I can't fathom, myself and my wife seem to have missed a payment to the Halifax regular saver. Are we going to be penalised on the interest rate!

Halifax RS rate is fixed and you can miss payments.

Isn't it a pain when the 1st is on a weekend?!  I've got money pending /  transferred / not doing anything and none of it is in the right place!! Sometimes I think I should just wait 'til the Monday but my '1st of the month' activity (usually just after midnight) to maximise the interest kicks in and I don't want to waste those pennies!
Credit to Principality who have put my overnight payments in dated the 1st, already

I just had to sacrifice the two days interest on this occasion, since there would be insufficient funds for current account monthly funding otherwise. Earning 4.75% at Skipton until Monday. I don’t like to cycle money any more than I have to. The end of the month also falls at the weekend, which will delay getting the funds out of MHBS.

I've never been that fussed about messing around with timings just to get a few pence extra interest.... but there are some things that are worth considering though, as you don't want to leave money sitting in a current account earning nothing.
A regular saver maturing with £3000+ will earn over 50p a day in interest. So if you're re-distributing it around other regular savers, identify the ones that credit non-working-day deposits on the same day (the first page of this thread is very useful for that), fund those ones first, then possibly put the remainder in an easy access account until Monday, when you can fund the other ones. Again, check how the easy access account deals with payments on non-working days.

On a similar topic - I've got a couple of regular savers which are due to mature on a weekend. One of them is Monmouthshire; anyone know if they push the maturity date forward to the next working day? Can't find anything specific in the T&Cs, and the online portal just shows "date of opening" not "maturity date".
