How long do Principality RS last for usually before another issue is released ?
There was about a 5 month gap between the last two - I think issue 3 became available about March, and issue 4 in August.
As for the Christmas regular saver, last year's one was still available throughout December if memory serves me correctly.
    According to my record:

    Issue 1 - 20 June 2024
    Issue 2 - 5 Dec 2024
    Issue 3 - 13 March 2025
    Issue 4 - 21 Aug 2025
I agree with those dates having looked them up in the archives yesterday. I don't see issue 5 on its way very soon.
According to the achive thread, the Principality Christmas 2025 RS went NLA on 31 Jan 2025. I am holding on for the 2026 version. Monmouthshire beating Principality for deposits right now.

Unless I’m misunderstanding you, Principality Xmas 2026 is already available. £150pm max bal £1800 6.5%

PS ignore 2025 in heading. Sloppy copying by Principality!

Sorry, I should have said I am holding on and not opening the Principality 2026 Christmas saver for now. I know it is available. I have too many RS maturing in November and December, and will wait for nearer or even after the festive season to open the 2026 saver.

Anyone had any luck opening  the Monthly Saver?
I keep getting "Something went wrong" message.
    Tried since Thursday

They have quite stringent rules about opening a new account if you have previously had one which you've closed early; is this the case?  I've had some problems with them in the past where I closed one about 7/8 months early to "refresh" it, as I've heard people calling it on here; I wasn't able to open a new one for a while, about 4/5 months if I remember correctly.

Although they're the same banking group as Halifax and Lloyds, they don't operate in the same way, as the patronising customer service person took great delight in telling me!

I didn't realise Scottish building society had an app until I read it on this thread. However logged in via an sms and it didn't seem to show accounts only a facility to message them. Anyone managed to view their RS on it? If so how.

    BoS/Lloyds
The way around it is to "upgrade" instead of "close" and you should be able to "refresh" despite the 12 month rule.

One option would be to open now but then refresh if still available in a month or two to push the maturity date on a bit.

This way you can still secure the account and don't risk missing out if it goes NLA sooner than it did last year but retain the option of pushing the maturity date on a couple of months if still available at the time.

I too am holding off from opening it, in the hope that it will still be available in December. From previous form, it will still be available for a while, but I know there's a risk it will be withdrawn.

    Yes - that's a good tip.

The app is only for sending secure messages and documents relating to mortgage applications.
