  • Anyone part-way through an Issue 3? What is your plan of action?
I don't have an issue 3 but my plan of action anyways is to wait until later in the week before I apply. Hopefully the rush, problems, invalid link & panic will have subsided and peace & normality will have returned.

No joy for me as I have a rainy day saver 3 (5.5%) opened. Have requested closure and hopefully try again.

i only have a pound in my account.
If you're successful at closing this account please post here.  I rang to ask if this could be done earlier today but, unsurprisingly (as in KPI), they said no.

Obviously COP won't work until tomorrow, so I've done a £1 test payment. Anyone know how long before that will show in online banking?

Brill, thanks. I couldn't access details of the account t and cs as it wasn't visible when not logged in and when I was logged in it just said you can't apply as you already have one!

I just realised I posted for the General T&C's published at the time of Issue 3 ... here are slightly different ones from the updated Issue 4. I'll put a note in my previous post for future readers.

Progressive opened. I opted to make the first payment by debit card and got a NatWest roundup in the process, as I figured COP wouldn’t work today. I won’t have the full amount available for a week or so so will top up by Faster Payment then.

For those wanting to go the authenticator route, they prompt you to download the salesforce one during application. Given how long their text took to arrive to verify that I’d entered the correct mobile number, I think I’m relieved that isn’t an option.

I see they are insisting the funds are sent from an account in your name. Has anyone tried sending from an account in a different name?

Hi, new here although I have stalked this excellent thread for a while! I have a few regular savers but I avoid ones where opening may cause me too much effort, as I am entering my dotage and my passport and driving licence have long expired, so I stick to ones where id is verified  electronically rather than via photo id.
However I broke this rule and applied for the new Progressive, obviously skipping the id upload. They quickly emailed me to say they would be in touch to let me know what alternative id they would accept. Equally quickly I received a request that I upload photo id such as a driving licence! Not for me then.
