The signature must be handwritten and postal applications must include a cheque.

I have spoken to them this morning and the agent confirmed that you can apply by sending signed form by email He wasn't keen on this and kept saying he would send me a form in the post for me to return. The form must have a wet signature

West Brom RS 7 maturity details received today. No decent replacement RS, just a RS account at 2.35%. Disappointing.
The West Brom have made their Fixed Rate Regular Saver one that only can be opened in branch, rather than online, seems to be a bit of a backward step to me.  https://www.westbrom.co.uk/savings/regular-savers/fixed-rate-regular-saver-issue-7

Rate currently 6% and their branches are in the Birmingham and Black Country area, but they've not had one in Birmingham City Centre for a while.
Looks like a day trip to Shrewsbury - does anyone think that they might want an appointment made??? Might give them a ring
Can’t comment on the need for appointment, but if you do go, I can recommend The Old Market Hall Cafe for a coffee (and cake if that’s your thing)
    Disclaimer: Other cafes are available
    I second that
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    TSB monthly saver
Am I right that I can withdraw funds from this with no interest or other penalty. The rate is no longer as competitive at 6% and I need the funds for other regular savers.
You do know it’s fixed don’t you, so if you took it out as 6% it will remain 6% until maturity? Only new accounts are 5%
It would still be worth withdrawing, especially if the account matures soon.
It may even be worth withdrawing from 6% account to fund a lower interest account that still has much longer to run on it (although towards the end of the month obviously)
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Cheques made payable to the Society
will only be accepted for payment into an
account if they contain additional details
(such as the name(s) of the account holder(s)
and/or the account number), so that it is
clear who the money is intended for.

Name and account number would seem safest to me

    For security the best way is always, <institution’s name> a/c <your name>.

This is how I’ve done it this morning and do it with all the BS’.

The application form only says to send cheque if applying by post. Presumably, if applying by emailling the completed form & id, then the first payment would be by transfer.
