Just a reminder that the extra interest payment from the original 10% Virgin RS has now been paid into the Everyday Saver paying a measly 1.74% gross. So don’t forget to withdraw this if you haven’t already done so or closed your RS early to receive the extra interest.7

Can’t comment on the need for appointment, but if you do go, I can recommend The Old Market Hall Cafe for a coffee (and cake if that’s your thing)mhoc said:

The West Brom have made their Fixed Rate Regular Saver one that only can be opened in branch, rather than online, seems to be a bit of a backward step to me. https://www.westbrom.co.uk/savings/regular-savers/fixed-rate-regular-saver-issue-7schiff said:West Brom RS 7 maturity details received today. No decent replacement RS, just a RS account at 2.35%. Disappointing.
Rate currently 6% and their branches are in the Birmingham and Black Country area, but they've not had one in Birmingham City Centre for a while.Disclaimer: Other cafes are available2 -

I sent £200 by SO this am. Not showing on the account yet, payments normally appear quickly. This was the 13th payment (no max account balance specified in t and c's). Payment not returned (so far). Anyone else having this issue?0 -

Scottish BS RS now online, variable rate: https://www.scottishbs.co.uk/savings/savings-face-to-face-or-by-post/regular-saver/
The application form mentioned is the form, but the product listing on their website makes no mention of applying by email.The signature must be handwritten and postal applications must include a cheque.4 -
Scottish Building Society - new 6.5% regular saver
Only showing as a "face to face or by post" account, although once opened it can be managed online.
However, buried deep in the product information, it says "you can only hold one Regular Saver or e-Regular Saver in your name (sole or joint) at any one time". Not sure if this is an indication that they will offer an e-Saver too, or whether this is a copy-paste job from previous issues.
Would be nice to have an online version, otherwise I'll have to dig out my cheque book.3 -

I have spoken to them this morning and the agent confirmed that you can apply by sending signed form by email He wasn't keen on this and kept saying he would send me a form in the post for me to return. The form must have a wet signaturechris_the_bee said:

The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1
