According to Furness CS an app is required to apply online, as a new customerI emailed them and this was the response

Many thanks for your enquiry for the Christmas saver enquiry. Have you already got a Furness account active?
We can open the account for you no problem. We would however need a completed application form filled out and sent back. You are able to fill out the online application or if you please forward your home address Ill I can send the form through the post. Unfortunately you cannot open an account online, you would need to use the Furness app.
Please find below the identification we require to open the account. We require two original documents off list A or one off list B and one off list B please see below
We are not sure how long this product will be available for so it could have been taken off before your application comes back. I just wanted to make you aware of this

Furness Xmas Saver
I am an existing customer and was already set-up online a while back. So was able to login and open a new account within 2 minutes with no ID check required. Very easy and was able to send £1. My Xmas saver from last year hasn't yet matured but this didn't prevent opening a new Xmas saver.

I have tried applying as a new customer on Android phone App and also using Chrome on my laptop.
On both I keep getting...You haven't selected a product yet
It looks like you don't have any open accounts with us. In order to register for our online services you need to select a savings account to open.
...even though I did select the product!
Anyone had this and got past it?

Thats what i was getting. I only tried on laptop, and tried 2 different browsers too.Only way i can apply is paper application and send original ID docs.Not sure if i'll bother with it.4 -
